Yummy new Yogurt treat!!!

The Yankee and I just discovered these new Yoplait Yogurts...they are so yummy and only 100 calories. I just had the Creme Caramel for my after lunch dessert and it was like I was eating flan! The Yankee got the Lemon Torte and said it was like an icebox pie. I went online (to grab a photo) and up on the sight the say that you can get a $1 off coupon starting Aug. 1. These yogurts are a little more pricey than the regular strawberry/banana staples that you keep in the fridge but worth it for a sweet treat (and to fool yourself into thinking you had something sinful!)

Get your coupon Saturday!

Carnitas Tacos Extreme

Yesterday the Yankee cleaned my garage. Far more work than the average boyfriend would do IMHO. To reward him I made his Carnitas Tacos to the Extreme!!!!

Here's how to do it.

1. Buy some Carnita meat (nothing fancy here...just some pork butt pieces--heck for $5 you can feed the family!)

2. Season it up with some Tony C's, salt, pepper, seasoned salt--heck anything you want and throw it in the crock pot for 6-8 hours.

3. Pull the pork into bite sized pieces

4. Throw a tortilla on the griddle to get it nice and toasty.

5. Fry up an egg (use Pam to save calories--harhar.)

6. Flip it over-easy.

7. Layer it up---tortilla, pork, egg, cheese, and sprinkle with Tabasco sauce!

The Yankee enjoyed his reward :)

Stuck at work...

Yes, I am a working mom....but I would rather be a homemaker. My name lends itself to homemaking even...everyone has heard of "Susie Homemaker.". But alas, I am stuck as Susan Working Mom. I only get to be a homemaker after 5 and on weekends--oh, and during that time I also have to lug kids around, go to meetings, church and other social functions--well, you get the picture.

I created this blog to share some of my various adventures in homemaking. Lord knows if SAHMs were paid for being home all day I'd be there!!!!

Tonight I will post photos of the yummy Carnitas Tacos I made the Yankee (aka my dear sweet BF) as a reward for cleaning out my garage yesterday.
